The founder
We had the zeal to contribute to the economic and social development of the society that we lived and grew in.
When we started the company, we chose to build it on pure ethics, because a person is defined by the values he lives by, and so is an organisation. Commitment and delivery became the two pillars we built everything upon.
We began as a small firm and grew through the quality of our work, one project after another. Our success comes from the satisfaction of our clients, and their trust has always been our most valued asset. Sawhney Buildwell built its name brick by brick, on the respect it earned on every project.
I am grateful to every member of my team who has been part of this journey. I believe in people and in teamwork. Their dedication, hard work and loyalty brought the company to where it stands today. My motto has always been Virtus et Labor, virtue and hard work.
The second generation
He took the company to the nation’s institutions
Late Shri Satinder Singh Sawhney led the company through its second generation. Under him, the firm his father had built in Dehradun began to build for the institutions of the country: the Indian Military Academy from 1994, the Himalayan Institute Hospital Trust from 1998, then the State Bank of India, ONGC, DIT University and the Military Engineer Services.
He knew every side of civil work: planning, design, estimating, tenders, billing, construction and maintenance, for private clients, public bodies and government alike.
In his years the company became Sawhney Buildwell LLP, earned the MES Class SS enlistment, and carried its work from Dehradun to 14 more cities. Many of the clients who first came to us in his time still call us first.
He passed away in 2024. Mrs. Ravleen Kaur Sawhney and his son Ranbir Singh Sawhney lead the company today.
The third generation

She has guided us to where we stand today.
Known for her foresight and her strong hand in management, she plans with clarity and leads with quiet confidence. Her guidance has shaped the company’s steady growth and keeps it focused on the long term.
Since 2024 she has led the company together with her son, Ranbir Singh Sawhney, carrying it into its third generation. She holds it to the values the founder set down in 1971: commitment, delivery and honest dealing with every client.
She stands first among the partners, a mark of the family’s respect for her, and of the trust the team and our clients place in her judgement.

Designated Partner

Since 2024 he has led the company with his mother, as its Designated Partner. He carries forward the legacy of his late father, Late Shri Satinder Singh Sawhney, and the values of three generations.
He knows that what a client fears most is time. A school must open for its admission season, and a family expects its home by the Diwali promised. He holds every site to the date given.
He brings a fresh understanding of new markets and modern construction methods. Under him, the company’s 55 years of work have been put on record and brought online, for every new client to see.

Valuing our people
With sites across India, our people grow by working on many kinds of projects. Experienced members of the team guide those who join us, so that every project meets our quality, safety and environmental standards.
Our team brings skills in civil engineering, surveying, estimating, mechanical works, procurement, logistics, accounts and human resources. Regular training keeps their technical and management skills current.
We give our people the training, certification and hands on experience to do their work with confidence, and to keep pace with what our clients need.
